Zugriffsdefinition:
Die “Zugriffsdefinitionen” in der MC-Config Datenbank können zur Einschränkung und Steuerung von MC-Aktionen verwendet werden. (Personen, Gruppen , Certifier) Der Vorteil gegenüber der Nutzung von NAB Gruppen zur Steuerung der Aktionen:
- Redundanz und Performance
es müssen keine zusätzlichen Gruppen im NAB angelegt und gepflegt werden
- Transparenz
die gesamte Steuerung liegt übersichtlich in der Config Datenbank ( Bedingungen und Zugriff)
NAB ( Lotus Domino Directory Notes Address Book)
Wichtig:
Änderungen an Gruppen im NAB die in Zugriffsdefinitionen verwendet werden, müssen zwischen NAB und MC- Config Datenbank konsisient gehalten werden. Das erfolgt über einen Synchronistaionsmechanismus zwischen dem NAB und der MC-Config mit Hilfe des MC-Groupexplorer Light.
- Schritt: Installation MC Groupexplorer light (Free)
- Schritt: Aktivierung des Synchronisations-Agenten zwischen NAB und MC-Groupexplorer
- Schritt: Aktivierung des Aktualisierungs-Agenten zwischen MC-Groupexplorer und MC-Config

Wireless calendar synchronization
- When a user imported holidays into their calendar, the dates were changed after synchronization. (DT 1885062)
- A user could not complete an activation because the BlackBerry Enterprise Server did not send all calendar packets to the device. The activation process stopped at 99% and the log file displayed the “OTAC too big error” message. (DT 1048907)
- If a user accepted an invitation for a meeting on the device, a reminder for the meeting was not set and the user did not receive reminder notices for the meeting. (DT 978589)
- When you modified an Anniversary on the device, that was originally created in IBM Lotus Notes, and then
synchronized with IBM Lotus Notes, the duration of the Anniversary was changed to an all day event. (DT 960557)
- In some cases, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server marked busy threads as hung and the BlackBerry Controller
restarted the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. (DT 799826)

Unexpected desktop settings applied to User Preferences after policy document re-save
Problem:
You upgrade your Lotus Domino server and the NAMES.NSF (NAB) from 8.5.2 to 8.5.3. Your Notes clients are 7.0.3. You change the name of a policy and re-save the policy document. Some unexpected changes will be seen in the client User Preferences.
Example:
“Mail file location” is changed from server (default) to local
“Replication interval” is changed to 60 minutes (both for normal and high priority)
Other possible settings also affected are “Internet browser” in location document and “recipient name lookup”
Resolving the problem:
Due to an SPR fix in the 8.5.3 codestream, there is a regression that will affect policies with pre-8.0 clients. The effect of the regression is that policy settings will be in place for pre-8.0 clients that should not be. 8.0 and later clients are not affected.
Follow these steps to back out the settings causing this regression:
- Open pubnames.ntf in the Domino Designer
- Open the PolicyManagement script library
- Click on the ComputeHAItemList subroutine

- Find the following lines of code:’ Set itemToDelete = hPolicy.GetFirstItem(pRefItemName)

‘ itemToDelete.SaveToDisk = False
‘ End If
Uncomment these lines of code (remove the ‘ character at the beginning of each line)
- save the subroutine
- Replace the design of your names.nsf with this version of pubnames.ntf
- Edit and re-save any Policy Settings documents that have the issue
